An updated section of the metal production workshop of JSC Flight was opened in Ivanovo
In mid-May, the opening of a new high-tech galvanic section of the metal production workshop of the Ivanovo Parachute Plant “Polet” was launched as part of a technical re-equipment project.
According to the general director of JSC Flight, Julia Portnova Ivanovo Parachute Plant, in 2016, as part of a large-scale project on technical re-equipment, the enterprise completed the modernization process. Thanks to this, the plant was able to commission new equipment in the area of machine tools with numerical control of metal production, as well as in the area of galvanic coatings. The cost of modernization amounted to more than 140 million rubles.
As a result of the project on technical re-equipment, production capacities will be increased 3 times, working conditions for workers will be improved, and the level of quality indicators of products will be increased. Head of workshop No. 6 Andrei Shchebnev noted that the return on marriage is now less than 1%.
Recall, JSC “Flight” produces the widest range of parachute landing equipment. The plant carries out both serial and individual production of parachute equipment. The customers of the Ivanovo Parachute Plant are the power departments of the Russian Federation: the company has been the main supplier of the Ministry of Defense (Air Force, Airborne Forces), Ministry of Internal Affairs, FSB, FSO, and the Ministry of Emergencies for more than 70 years. Today, Polet OJSC, Ivanovo Parachute Plant, is the only full-cycle enterprise in Russia. The labor collective of the plant is more than 600 qualified specialists and workers.
