The main parachute “Segment”

The main “Segment” parachute is a 7-section dome designed for acrobatics (rotation and rebuilding).

The dome “Segment” is made of fabric with zero breathability (ZP, Gelvenor Textiles), equipped with slings Dacron-600 or ML (microline).

“Segment” is characterized by fast and uniform filling. The behavior of the dome in the stall and recovery modes is stable and controlled, the dome is sensitive to inputs by control lines or free ends.DESIGN FEATURES
on the upper shell of the tail of the dome is a tail-pocket – a pocket made of a denser fabric, into which slings are placed when jumping for minimal opening delays;
a special system provides “attraction” of the exhaust parachute to the upper shell of the dome;
additionally reinforced: leading edge, front part of ribs, places of strand attachment and jellyfish fixation. Reinforcement prevents wear and damage to dome fabric during jumping;
the dome is equipped with slings of various colors to facilitate group work.
“Segment” has proven itself in team work with domes for foreign-made CRW.
reliable operation at altitudes of up to 4000 m when performing jumps from aircraft at an instrumental flight speed of 39 to 62.5 m / s (140-225 km / h) both with immediate effect and with any delay in opening the parachute;
minimum safe altitude of use of “Segment” with immediate deployment of a parachute at a flight speed of a horizontally flying aircraft of 140 km / h – 300m;
overloads arising when filling the dome – not more than 10 units;
safety of landing in the wind near the ground up to 15 m / s with the parachutist entering the target against the wind;
performance at temperatures from -40 ° C to + 40 ° C.
Warranty period – 500 applications;

Assigned resource – 1000 applications; further – according to the decision of the developer;

The life of parachutes and satchels manufactured by Paraavis is 20 years with a technical check of 10 and 15 years.
